Great News for Texas!!

The liberal Speaker of the House Joe Straus will now have a solid Tea Party contender in Rep. Bryan Hughes.  Straus needs to go due to his support of democrats during elections, his distaste for liberty, and his unwillingness to be a staunch supporter of conservative priorities.  Rep. Hughes is very conservative and honest and he will be a GREAT speaker!!

Travis County, Texas fought to keep grassroots involvement..and WON!!

Travis County, Texas did politics the old fashion way...in the garage!!  When the local GOP establishment tried to take away the rights of indivuduals, the Tea Party responded; and respond they did.  They overcame all sorts of tactics and at the end, mainatained precinct control of their delegates.  The establishment tried in vain to put the selection process into the hands of a committee hand selected by the GOP leadership.  The delay tactics of the establishment went beyond the lease time for the convention.  But the delegates would have nothing to do with it and demanded to end outside!

Congrats to Travis County for standing up for freedom and true conservative ideals!!

Gun Sales Put on Hold by Manufacturer: “We Cannot Meet Demand.”

Written by Gary North on March 27, 2012

Today, the gun manufacturing industry is in boom mode. One firm, Sturm Ruger, has announced a new policy: it will accept no more orders until it catches up with production. It has one million unfilled orders. It hopes to resume order-taking by the end of May.
Think about that. It is selling over two million guns a year.

Texas will play little or no roll in the GOP primary.....

SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- A federal judge has told Republican leaders in Texas to plan as though the state's primary will be May 29 because the long-running dispute over redistricting likely won't allow for it to be held any earlier.

U.S. Circuit Court Judge Jerry Smith on Wednesday did not officially set that as the new primary date. But the judge's guidance virtually extinguishes any chance of Texas holding an April primary.

A primary in May or later risks making Texas irrelevant in choosing the Republican presidential nominee.

Texas had been scheduled to take part in March's Super Tuesday, but the state's ongoing battle over voting maps derailed that.

Earlier Wednesday, the sides announced a deal on a temporary map for the disputed state Senate boundaries, leaving unresolved the state House and congressional maps.

Think Rick Santorum is your guy? Consider this......

Rick Santorum is anything but a conservative.  Just consider his record, which includes:
  • Padding his own wallet as a corporate lobbyist at the expense of taxpayers;
  • Voting to RAISE the debt ceiling five times;
  • Voting to DOUBLE the federal Department of Education;
  • Voting with liberals like Ted Kennedy on multiple occasions in support of Big Labor's radical agenda;
  • Urging more federal involvement in housing with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac;
  • Voting to create a brand new, unfunded entitlement, Medicare Part D, the largest expansion of entitlement spending since President Lyndon Johnson - creating $16 TRILLION in unfunded liabilities;

CNN flip flops on property rights

Yes..I know...we're all surprised. But why not point it out again. CNN has continuously blasted Dr. Paul on his stance of property rights and how private businesses should be able to choose whom they serve. Yet, 'amazingly' CNN applauded a restaurant who refused to serve a customer who was anti-gay.

“I Like George Washington Except on Foreign Policy”

“I Like George Washington Except on Foreign Policy”

Ron Paul’s philosophy is that of the Founding Fathers. For Paul, the Constitution is the law of the land, not a mere rhetorical tool. For Paul, maintaining limited government means “eternal vigilance,” to borrow Thomas Jefferson’s phrase, against political leaders’ tendency to empower themselves at the expense of the people. One of the ways government has historically empowered itself is through constant war.
Like the Founding Fathers, Ron Paul believes in a strong national defense. Also like the Founders, Paul fears adopting an irrational offense. Our first President George Washington expressed this fear on September 17, 1796 when he delivered his farewell address.

Santorum may have helped a friend cover up his affair....

By Doug Thompson May 16, 2011 " The sex and hush-money scandal that brought down former Nev. Senator John Ensign is spreading across the Republican party  like a permanent stain, stripping bare the party’s hypocrisy on family values. Caught in the ever-widening scandal is former Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, a presidential candidate and tea party favorite (really??...I would disagree) who touts family values but  tried to bury the Ensign scandal by alerting the Nevada Senator that the husband of his mistress was going  public." http://www.capitolhillblue.com/node/40865
